Sparrow's Hope Vision

Sparrow’s Hope is an effort to address the issue of human trafficking. We run; that’s what we do! I thought why not use running as a unique niche to help draw attention to this epidemic around the world. Our vision is to run the Indian 2 million steps (1000 miles) in 2017, to run the Indian 1 million steps (500 miles) in 2018, run from Dayton to Toledo in September of 2018 and to run every Saturday night shining our lights in inner city neighborhoods in Columbus distributing hugs, prayer support, information about options available and purses with feminine hygiene items. The running efforts are meant to promote education and help facilitate preventative and after care programs in India (ranked as #1 offender in the world) and the State of Ohio (ranked #4 offender in the United States).

Sparrow's Hope in India

  • One Million Steps For Hope A 500 mile run in India to fight human trafficking. We will run from Bangalore to Pondicherry to Mudurai to Tirunelveli in 16 days running 31 miles each day. India is ranked #1 in the world in the numbers of people being sexually trafficked. We will speak to thousands of middle school/high school age students about the warning signs and ways to prevent being a victim of human trafficking. We would like to start a safe house focused on rescue, safety, rehabilitation and skills training for women rescued from the streets or the brothel. The house will be called Sparrow's Hope House.
